Teenage boy stabbed to death behind a Rouse Hill primary school

A teenage boy has been stabbed to death behind a school in Sydney’s northwest.

Two other children were reportedly at the scene and were seen running away after the incident in Rouse Hill at around 5pm on Monday.

Police and paramedics were called to the park behind Ironbark Public School.

NSW Police have now established a crime scene and launched a major investigation.

Local federal MP Michelle Rowland made a statement on social media and said she was “deeply saddened” by the incident.

“I was deeply saddened to learn this afternoon of the tragic loss of a young life on Rouse Hill,” the federal attorney general said.

“My thoughts and deepest condolences are with the young boy’s family at this extremely difficult time.

“There is no place for these senseless acts of violence in our society and I know this news will be particularly distressing for local families.

“Rest in peace.”
