Taliban releases British couple after 8-month captivity in Afghanistan

An old British couple was released by the Taliban after eight months of captivity this week.
76 -year -old Barbie Reynolds and 80 -year -old husband Peter Reynolds, Qatar, Taliban and England came to Qatar on Friday after months of negotiations.
The couple has been living in Afghanistan for 18 years, where he made an educational aid organization.
Despite the ordeal, Barbie said they would return to Afghanistan if they could do Reynolds. Both are Afghan citizens.
“God is good as they said in Afghanistan,” he added at the Kabul Airport.

The couple, who were detained in February, was welcomed by relatives, including their daughters when they arrived at Qatar Doha on Friday.
His daughters were clearly emotional with Sarah Entwist, and he said to the journalists in Qatar for giving us our family back. “
The authority added that their families would be grateful to the British governments forever because they stand with us at this difficult time.
“This experience reminded us of the power of diplomacy, empathy and international cooperation.” He said.
Jonathan Reynolds, the couple’s son, told Sky News from the United States to Sky News, although Qatar is confident that they had reached their doctors and medicines during their captivity, he would begin to deteriorate if their health is kept more.
United Nations health professionals also warned that the couple’s captivity could harm or even kill them.

He accused the families of the Taliban of ill -treatment of the couple and called on the government to explain why they were detained.
Qatar State Minister Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi said he was grateful for the “efficient cooperation” between Britain and the Taliban in the release of the couple.
Taliban claimed that the couple had violated Afghan laws without going into details.
