Fetterman receives MAGA support after fall outside Pennsylvania home

Well wishes poured in from the MAGA movement when news broke Thursday that Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., had fallen in front of his home.
His office said he was transported “out of an abundance of caution” to a hospital in Pittsburgh.
“Senator Fetterman suffered a fall near his home in Braddock during an early morning walk. Upon evaluation, it was determined that Senator Fetterman suffered an exacerbation of ventricular fibrillation that caused him to feel dizzy, fall to the ground, and hit his face with minor injuries,” the office said in a statement. It didn’t take long for the Republican base to start leaving encouraging messages for the Democratic senator online.
“We support a full comeback,” said Florida conservative news anchor Eric Daugherty. in a comment In Fetterman’s post.

In the years since, Fetterman has found himself aligned with many members of the GOP; He has routinely clashed with the progressive wing of the Democratic Party on issues such as immigration, support for Israel and, most recently, voting with Republicans to end the nation’s longest-ever government shutdown.

Donna Naylor, a retired wife and grandmother, said, “I identify as MAGA and disagree with you on most policies. I appreciate your unwavering support for Israel and your priority to put our country first during the shutdown.” in question.

Another self-described MAGA voter, Kathy Schroeder, echoed that sentiment.

Fetterman’s office did not provide any updates on the senator’s condition since his first term, but said he was “grateful to the EMTs, doctors, and nurses who provided care for him.”
