Bigg Boss 19: Gaurav Khanna wins Salman Khan show

After more than three months of intense tasks, emotional transformations, clever strategies and frequent clashes, Bigg Boss 19 hosted by Salman Khan finally came to an end on Sunday, December 7. Gaurav Khanna emerged victorious by defeating Farrhana Bhatt to bag the trophy and cash prize of Rs 50 lakh. Other finalists of the season included Pranit More, Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik.

Gaurav is a popular face in the Indian TV industry since the last two decades. She starred in many TV series such as Meri Doli Tere Angana, Jeevan Saathi – Humsafar Zindagi Ke, Dil Se Diya Vachan and Prem Ya Paheli – Chandrakanta until she became a household name with Star Plus’ hit series Anupamaa starring Rupali Ganguly.

Gaurav’s journey in Bigg Boss 19 was also extraordinary. Unlike other contestants who turn to drama or confrontations to stay in the limelight, Gaurav has remained steady, calm and mentally tough throughout his journey. He avoided unnecessary conflict, always remained down-to-earth and humble, and refused to compromise his integrity.

Before Bigg Boss 19, Gaurav had also won Celebrity MasterChef India earlier this year. The cooking-based reality show was judged by celebrity chefs Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna along with choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan, who also hosted. Gaurav won the first edition of Celebrity MasterChef by defeating Nikki Tamboli, Tejasswi Prakash, Faisal Shaikh and Rajiv Adatia.

A total of 18 contestants participated in Bigg Boss 19 throughout its journey, which started on August 24. Those left out of the five finalists were Ashnoor Kaur, Abhishek Bajaj, Kunickaa Sadanand, Malti Chahar, Baseer Ali, Awez Darbar, Shehbaz Badesha, Mridul Tiwari, Nehal Chudasama, Neelam Giri, Natalia Janoszek, Nagma Mirajkar and Zeishan Quadri.
