Tehran launched a wave of missile attacks on Israel last night as fears grew that it could hit European capitals including London.
More than 100 people were injured as a result of missile attacks launched overnight in southern Israel.
The Israeli ambulance service said 84 people were injured, 10 seriously.
On Friday night, Israel fired two missiles at Diego Garcia, prompting warnings about the range of Iran’s weapons.
The island lies 2,360 miles from Iran, well beyond the 1,240 miles thought to be the outer limit of the regime’s reach.
IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said that the range of the missiles poses a danger to the world, including European capitals.
Meanwhile, President Trump threatened to destroy Iran’s power plants if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened within 48 hours.
Iran had warned on Sunday that it would target US energy infrastructure if Trump carried out his threat.
One person killed by Hezbollah’s anti-tank missile in northern Israel
One person was killed in an anti-tank missile attack on the northern border town of Misgav Am.
The Israeli ambulance service said two vehicles caught fire.
Misgav Am is located near Israel’s northern border with Lebanon.
An hour after the attack, sirens were sounded in the neighborhood.
Hezbollah later claimed responsibility. In its statement, the group claimed that it targeted ‘the gathering of Israeli enemy army soldiers in the Misgav Am settlement with rocket bombardment’ at 08:00 in the morning.
The IDF said it detected fire coming from Lebanon at the time, striking two vehicles and killing one person.
