SC community man thrashed, forced to drink urine in Madhya Pradesh; three arrested

“A 25-year-old man from the Scheduled Castes (SC) community was allegedly assaulted and forced to drink urine in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district, leading to the arrest of three persons,” police said.
“The main accused targeted the man after he stopped working as a driver,” an official said on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, adding that the victim was receiving treatment at a hospital and further investigation was ongoing.
“According to the complainant, three persons abducted her from Gwalior on Monday, October 20, 2025, and brought her to Bhind in a vehicle, where she was beaten and forced to drink urine,” Additional Inspector of Police Sanjeev Pathak said. The victim is a resident of Akutpura village in Surpura police station area of Bhind.

Speaking to reporters, the victim claimed that she was abducted from her father-in-law’s house in Gwalior’s Deendayal Nagar area and taken to Bhind in an SUV. The person claimed that he was beaten with a plastic pipe and added that three people stopped the vehicle midway and forced him to drink urine from a bottle.
“The victim was taken to Akutpura village, where he was tied with an iron chain and forced to drink urine again,” he accused. The victim was driving a four-wheeler for the main accused, Sonu Barua, a resident of Datawali village, an official said. The victim had recently stopped driving, which led Barua to target him. “The victim is currently receiving treatment in a hospital,” Mr. Pathak said.
“A case has been registered under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and relevant Sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for kidnapping, assault and inhuman treatment,” Mr. Pathak said. “The three arrested accused have been identified as Sonu Barua, Alok Sharma and Chhotu Ojha,” the official added.
The latest incident comes a few days after a RS community youth, who opposed illegal mining, was allegedly beaten and urinated on by four men in Katni district.
In early May, police alleged that a group of men kidnapped a relative from Guna district after a dispute and took him to Rajasthan, where they forced him to drink urine and paraded him in women’s clothes.
In March this year, a man was allegedly beaten, forced to drink urine and made to wear shoes in Ujjain district after he eloped with a married woman. In July 2023, a viral video had triggered national outrage after a man was caught urinating on a tribal in the Sidhi region.
