Sydney man dead after suspected hit-and-run incident at Richmond
A 23-year-old man died and a 41-year-old man was taken to hospital as police investigated whether a ute found in a nearby paddock was linked to a suspected hit-and-run nearby.
The young man was found on the side of Old Kurrajong Road in Richmond, northwest of Sydney, at around 7.45pm on Sunday.
A passing driver tried to help until paramedics arrived, but the man died at the scene.
Crash investigators determined the man was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop.
About an hour later, a Nissan Navara was found in a paddock on Kurmond Road near North Richmond after leaving the road and rolling several times.

The 41-year-old man was treated at the scene and taken to Westmead Hospital with minor injuries.
The ute was seized for examination, while police are investigating whether the two incidents are linked due to their proximity and timing.
Police requested information, including camera footage from the area.
