Trump calls Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest ‘so bad for the royal family’

US President Donald Trump weighed in on the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, hours after the King’s brother was detained on suspicion of abuse of public office.
“I think it’s a shame. I think it’s a very sad thing. I think it’s very bad for the royal family. It’s very, very sad. I think it’s a very sad thing,” Mr. Trump said on Thursday.
Andrew, who was known as “Prince” before he was stripped of his royal titles, was arrested after police launched an investigation into allegations that he shared sensitive information with Jeffrey Epstein during his official visits to the UK as the country’s trade envoy.
The allegations emerged as part of the Epstein dossier recently released by Trump’s Justice Department.
