Trump humiliated as Russia compares US President to insect in brutal 3-word jibe | World | News

Donald Trump is being disparagingly compared to an insect as Moscow continues to mock the US President for his failure to strike a deal with Vladimir Putin. The US President often boasts of his unique abilities to seal a deal and exudes great confidence that he can end the war in Ukraine.

He claimed many times that the war would never have started if he were president, and that he could end it within 24 hours. But the White House leadership was frustrated after multiple attempts to reach an agreement with Vladimir Putin failed. The Republican boss tried to flatter the Kremlin tyrant by rolling out the red carpet at a summit in Alaska in August.

He also offered generous financial incentives to the Russian President to help end the nearly four-year bloody conflict in Ukraine.

Neither flattery nor the promise of future wealth has dissuaded Putin from pursuing his maximalist agenda in Ukraine.

Trump recently imposed sanctions on Russia’s two largest oil firms, Rosneft and Lukoil, in an attempt to force the Kremlin boss to seriously engage in peace talks. It is also considering delivering to Kiev long-range Tomahawk missiles that could hit Moscow.

But Putin refused to bow to US pressure and showcase his latest nuclear-capable missiles in response to the White House’s moves.

The Kremlin has also stepped up personal attacks on Trump’s character through TV propagandists.

Now, Russian state-controlled media have published a humiliating impeachment of the US President, joining the public accusations against Trump.

Tabloid Moskovsky Komsomolets noted in an article that although Trump promised to end Russia’s war in Ukraine within 24 hours, “the breakthrough in negotiations expected a year ago remained a mirage.”

“Trump has proven that he is unable to negotiate a peaceful end to the Ukraine conflict under conditions acceptable to Moscow,” the statement said.

“Trump has repeatedly shown that he is unable to make progress purely out of his personal interests, that he is unable to make any effort to break established trends.”

The newspaper later described, with painful conclusion, that the US President was acting “like a butterfly flying from flower to flower.”

Such a comparison would be “unfair to the butterflies” before adding harshly.
