Palestinian Man Kills 2 In Car-Ramming And Stabbing Attack In Northern Israel, Police Say
JERUSALEM (AP) — A Palestinian gunman rammed his car into a man in northern Israel on Friday and then stabbed a young woman, killing them both, police said. Israel’s defense minister swiftly ordered military retaliation in what he said was the attacker’s West Bank hometown.
The attack began on Friday afternoon in the northern city of Beit Shean; Here, a Palestinian man crashed his car into people, killing one person and injuring a young boy. He then sped onto the highway, where he fatally stabbed the woman, police said. Paramedics stated that the man was 68 years old and the woman was 18 years old, and they both died at the scene.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog said a security guard shot the gunman as he was heading towards the nearby city of Afula.

The Israeli army soon began recruiting troops near the Palestinian town of Kabatiya; Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the attacker came from there.
Katz said he had ordered troops to “take strong and immediate action” against what he called the “terrorist infrastructure” in the town.
“Anyone who aids or sponsors terrorism will pay the price,” he said.
