In fact, there are 13 if you count the one on Hazel Street in Oaks Estate; this was once one of the larger, “double-sized” shelters placed outside major public places and buildings to accommodate rush-hour crowds. This proximity of Hazel Street to Queanbeyan Railway Station was also undoubtedly a factor. However, it is not included in the official list because it lacks the original fabric that replaced the original that was torn to shreds by fireworks in 2003.
