Marcus Rashford does not want to end career disappointed, says Thomas Tuchel

England face Latvia in Riga on Tuesday and knew victory would ensure qualification for next summer’s World Cup in Mexico, Canada and the United States.
Rashford, who scored twice against Newcastle United for Barca in the Champions League, has fallen out of favor with Manchester United and is looking to get his career back on track away from his boyhood club.
In January, manager Ruben Amorim criticized Rashford for not displaying an attitude of “giving the maximum every day”.
Tuchel pointed out that Rashford is still young enough to make the right decisions in his career, “because otherwise in 10 years he will be disappointed with what he could have been and what he got out of it”.
Barcelona boss Hansi Flick said he was pleased with Rashford’s efforts so far, describing him as “incredible”. The La Liga club have the option to sign him permanently in 2026 for £30 million.
“I think the limit for him is very, very high. Maybe higher than others,” Tuchel said. “He has potential, but potential is a dangerous word in top-level sports.
“You have to reach your personal best on a regular basis, that is what is demanded at that kind of level and that is the challenge for it.
“He could be one of the best in the world because he has the quality that I have seen in training, his finishing with both legs and head.
“He’s explosive, he’s fast, he’s strong in the air, so where are the limits?
“There is no limit but the numbers do not reach the potential, it is that easy.”
