Police confirmed that a male prisoner suffered serious injuries and required urgent medical attention following the incident.

According to the information obtained, he was found unconscious and lying in a pool of blood in the prison wing after the attack.

It has also been alleged that he may have been hit with a metal bar in a prison workshop, although authorities have not confirmed what weapon, if any, was used.

Sources described his condition as “touch and go”, but authorities did not elaborate on the full extent of his injuries.
