Karnataka Issues Notification To Fix Cinema Ticket Prices At Rs 200 In State

Bengaluru: On Friday, the Karnataka government has issued notifications by changing the rules of Karnataka Cinema (control), 2014, and exclude the ticket price in all theaters in the state, including Multiplexes in RS 200, except all taxes.
In July, the Law of Karnataka Cinema (Control), the 19th part of the section 1964 (1964), explaining the forces given by Chapter 19, made draft rules to change the rules of 2014 Karnataka Cinema (Control). The government invited feedback from stakeholders within 15 days.
After examining the objections and suggestions in a comprehensive way, the Karnataka government concluded the rules.
According to the notification, Karnataka Cinemas (regulation) (amendment) rules will enter into force as of the last publication of the 2025 Official Gazette.
