Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) has promised that if he becomes the next governor of California, he will revoke the driver’s licenses of any ICE agents, or “assholes,” as he calls them, who wear masks while driving.
Swalwell shared his plan at a summit hosted by the Empowerment Congress in Los Angeles on Saturday. The nonprofit group aims to “combat racial and economic disparities by educating, engaging, and empowering residents using tools such as annual summits, partnerships, and community education programs,” according to its website.
Here’s what the Democratic representative had to say when asked how he would “protect” Californians from ICE:
They will lose their immunity and will not be able to drive. I will get your driver’s license. Good luck getting to work, assholes.
Swalwell continued: “I will direct law enforcement to use every authority to prosecute them for battery, false imprisonment and murder. You know me, I’m not shy.”
