Tamil Nadu Delegation Studies Natural Farming in Prakasam District

Nellore: A 33 -member team from Tamil Nadu State Rural Transition Mission (TNSRLM) visited the Prakasam region in a three -day exposure tour to examine the community -based natural farming (APCNF) initiatives implemented by Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sadhikara Samstha (RYSS).

The tour was coordinated under the guidance of Mrs. Subhashini, Regional Project Manager. The visit focused on nutritional safety and livelihood development through nutri-garden and kitchen gardens supported by the Health and Nutrition Department. The delegates, divided into two groups, toured several villages in the kothapatnam latch.

Pre-MONSOON dry planting (PMDs), “Always Money” (ATM) peanut transplantation, seed balls producing bio-lower centers, solid and liquid bio-fiilizers and surah mandala models.

The team also interacted with farmers, self-aid group women, health and nutrition friends and internal society resources (ICRPs) to understand crop choice, multi-layered designs, bio-one use and natural farming in natural farming.

Special discussions were made on the role of nutri-spring and non-chemical vegetables in strengthening food and nutrition safety at village level.

RYSS State Office, Regional Natural Agricultural Personnel, Local Farmers and Anganwadi employees also participated in the program.
