Government will endeavor to move education from Concurrent list to State list: Governor

Governor Arlekar said that the government will make all necessary efforts to move education from the Concurrent List to the State List.

This Government will strongly oppose the 2020 National Education Policy. The TVK Government will also demand release of ₹ 3,458 crore funds due to Tamil Nadu under the ‘Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan’ and urge the Union Government to reconsider its connection with the implementation of the tri-language policy.

The government also promised measures to improve the quality of education.
