Tamil Nadu inks MoU with France’s Centre-Val de Loire

The Tamil Nadu Government signed an agreement with the Central Val de Loire of France in Chennai, the secretariat of the secretariat on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The memorandum of the Memorandum was signed in the presence of Tamil Nadu Prime Minister MK Stalin and France’s Consul General in Pudducherry and Chennai Etienne Rolland-Piegue.
In an official statement from the state government, understanding that artists, cultural organizations and organizations between Tamil Nadu and Central Val de Loire aim to facilitate the easy change, travel and associations. Experiences and best practices in the tourism sector and public policy, protection of traditional knowledge, practices in archeology and protection of museums will be among the common interests.
In another event, Mr. Stalin presented the Seven Crafts Living Handicrafts Treasury Award. Recognizing skilled craftsmen over 65 years of age, La 1 Lakh, 8 grams of gold medals, a Thamirapathiram and a certificate cash award. Craftsmen N. Rani Vincent, KB veezhinathan, drug Chokkar, Kuppu Subramani, D. Ramani, N. Poovammal and N. Duraij, 2024-25 Handicraft Award for the Living Handicrafts Award.
In addition, POOMPUHAR states awards for 10 craftsmen over 30 years, 50,000 ₹, 4 grams of gold medals, Thamirapathiram and a certificate. Artisans J. Venkatramaman, C. Ramesh, M. Kuppusamy, T. Gopalakrishnan and K. Murugan, R. Harikrishnan and S. Rehmath Meereral Beevi, C. Sri Kumari, P. Megantu, R. Gokelnath Redy 2024-25 received the POOMPUHARSTATE awards.
Minister TM Anbarasan, Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam and senior officials were also present on the occasion.
