Tamil Nadu polls: CM Stalin accuses Edappadi K Palaniswami of ‘lies, deception’

“If you say Palaniswami, it means lies and deceit,” he said at a rally in Virudhunagar. “He hides his own lies and lies over and over again. The lies told by Palaniswami could be published as a book; he lies that much.”

He said everyone in the state was aware that the DMK government had overcome these hurdles despite the Union government collecting taxes to “benefit the northern states” and creating an “artificial financial crisis” for Tamil Nadu.

“We have successfully fulfilled all our promises, including the retirement plan,” he said. “Rather than holding the BJP-led Union government accountable, Palaniswami chose to target me. This is not surprising considering that he betrayed his legacy by aligning himself with the party that Jayalalithaa vehemently opposed.”
“While the public has welcomed the voucher scheme with enthusiasm, only Palaniswami seems distressed,” he said. “He is making false claims that DMK members will receive commission from this initiative. Since we are distributing coupons instead of cash, the claim of receiving commission is not logically possible.”
