Tamil Nadu produces the most number of engineers in the country, says Deputy CM

The increase in engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu, Deputy Prime Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin said on Saturday to the seeds planted by former Prime Minister Kalaignar M. Karunidhi.

In the Vocational Development Conference and Exposition 2025, organized by the International Tamil Engineers Forum (ITEF), he said to the delegates: “Kalaignar not only facilitated the establishment of these institutions, but also played a decisive role in scraping the entrance exam for engineering and made higher education more accessible to students.”

Tamil Nadu drew attention to the fact that the country produces the most engineers. Udhayanidhi said, “Engineers from Tamil Nadu spread to the world.

“When I think of the engineers, I remind the historical Kallanai in Tiruchi and the works of Arthur Cotton.” He said.

In the presence of Mr. Udhayanidhi, a series of comprehensions were traded. Tamil Nadu Skill Development Company (TNSDC), a nodal skill development agency in the state, signed a memorandum of the Kingdom of Bahrain with the University of Ahliia. Naan Mudhalvan Scout (Scholarship Scholarships in Tamil Nadu) attempt to facilitate global internship opportunities for students from the state.

Approximately 100 students will be supported each year to do international internship in well -known universities and industries outside the country. State university students in Tamil Nadu will be the primary beneficiaries of this program.

In accordance with the agreement, Ahliia University will present short -term training, dipping programs and internships and offer valuable international exposure and skills to students.

As part of the agreement, TNSDC will provide financial support for travel costs, Ahliia University will provide comprehensive international exposure for participating students by offering on -campus training, accommodation and related facilities.

In addition, TNSDC has entered into an agreement with ITEF to expand skill opportunities and industry cooperation.
