Tammy Tyrrell joins a party she’s frequently criticised

Labor is a party bereft of ideas, patting itself on the back while doing the bare minimum, occasionally “blatantly abusing” its power, and stuck in an endless two-party cycle that prevents it from meaningfully improving the economy. That’s according to the party’s newest member, “proud Labor girl” Tammy Tyrrell.

It’s become a thing cricket tradition of reminding readers how politicians’ rhetoric shifts and changes when they change parties. Of course, Tyrrell’s comments about the Labor Party as an independent were not as colorful as those he made against One Nation leader Pauline Hanson before she joined Barnaby Joyce’s party (“useless as a bull’s breasts” comes to mind).
