Tanya Hennessy announces birth of baby girl after 7 years of infertility struggles: ‘my heart is exploding’

Australian comedian Tanya Hennessy gave birth to a daughter after a seven-year struggle with infertility.
Hennessy, who has an extensive career in radio and online comedy, shared the news on her social media on Christmas Day with a photo of herself holding baby girl Scottie Jack Poole.
Hennessy wrote in her post, “Our beautiful girl has finally arrived.”
“I’m in heaven, my heart is exploding. My baby is here. My baby.”
“He is everything and more and I have never been happier in my life.”
It’s been a long journey for Hennessy and her husband Tom Poole; The 40-year-old was diagnosed with stage four endometriosis after trying to get pregnant for “two or three years”.
After multiple surgeries and seven rounds of IVF to remove endometriosis, Hennessy announced she was pregnant in July.
She later posted a sonagram video and wrote: “After seven years of trying, we have finally delivered our baby.”

“I never thought I would post pregnancy content,” Hennessy said.
“I’m so thankful and grateful to be here.”
In an interview with Body and Soul magazine, Hennessy expressed her joy at finally becoming pregnant after spending $120,000 to access medical treatment.
“I’m really happy that the chapter on infertility is hopefully closed for me,” she said.
“I’ve been really sad, really tragically sad, for seven years. I’m ready for some joy.”
Celebrities flocked to congratulate the comedian for her post, which also included a photo of her smiling husband Tom Poole holding their daughter for the first time.
Neighbors star Olympia Vallance commented: “She’s perfect.”

“Congratulations my angel,” said Steph Claire Smith, model and CEO of health and fitness app KIC.
Television presenter and WAG Bec Judd commented: “Yewwwwwwwww- ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Hennessy announced that she would share more details about little Scottie at a later date, but noted that she would be taking some time away from social media to enjoy her newborn happiness.
“I’ll share more later but right now my baby is here,” she said on her Instagram story.
“I’ve waited too long for him. So I’m going to stay in this bubble a little longer.”
