Tara Reid has people talking after her latest red carpet appearance, parents fight at Toledo school & MEAT

Welcome to the official summer kickoff edition of Screencaps, where most of us spend half a day and then BOOM, summer officially begins with you teeing off at No. 1 at your favorite local golf course, but before we do that we need to catch up with Tara Reid of “American Pie” fame.

Have you seen Reid, 50, on the red carpet in Cannes this week? “I wish him well,” one fan wrote on Instagram after checking out red carpet video footage from the Cannes Film Festival event. Look, it’s no secret that Tara has been turning heads for her looks for years.

Women have been worried about the movie legend, and this week they took that worry to a new level. “Please fire your stylist,” another woman wrote. You see, if you were sleep deprived before this week because of Reid, you probably won’t sleep well over Memorial Day weekend.

• Continuing my golf game…My decompression day on Thursday went pretty well. After being placed on the disabled list with a shoulder issue, I didn’t hit a golf ball for two months. Rather than relax by playing a flat local course, the group decided to play the Monroe (MI) Country Club, designed by Donald Ross in 1919. I swear on my golf bible you may never see a green like No. 7 on that course.

PAIGE SPIRANAC AND HER MOTHER SHOCKED THE INTERNET, LANE KIFFIN’S INCREDIBLE SHOT AT OLE MISS AND THE NFL HAS DONE IT AGAIN

It’s like a ski slope where there’s a pin at the front of the green and the pin is high, with the only light area preventing the ball from sliding off the front. I understand Augusta National has a slope, and I’ve stood near Nos. 9 and 18 at Augusta. Yes, this is a ski slope. I honestly thought No. 7 on Monroe should be illegal.

If there is a lack of pressure it came to the hole. He hits 3-pointers and 3-pointers. But I’m back playing golf and it feels great. In fact, right after we publish this, we’ll be playing at the oldest municipal golf course west of Manhattan.

• In baseball news, Screencaps III got his first legitimate hit of the season last night, hitting a homer over the second baseman’s head while winds were gusting at 20-25 mph off Lake Erie. I’m talking wind in the mid 40s. Absolutely terrible weather. Guys, I’m begging for warmth right now. Screencaps III finally made his team’s first run. This is the production you want to see from hole No. 2.

• This weekend, we will remember the soldiers stationed just down the street from where we live who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country during the War of 1812 to defeat the British scum and their Native American partners attacking from the north side of the Maumee River. Approximately 161 Americans were killed in one particular battle called the Dudley Massacre. Located west of downtown Perrysburg, the historic site of Fort Meigs is considered by some to be a sacred burial ground. The ruins were converted into sheltersAccording to historians.

As a content-oriented person, the Toledo kindergarten fight video is perfect for me

For the past decade, local hipsters have been touting a saying that rings true this morning: “You’ll do better in Toledo.” There are signs all over the city. The woke wear it on shirts and wear it with pride. As a content guy who has made a career out of content, these savvy Toledoans couldn’t be more right. Toledo has been very, very good to me.

I think about things like the legendary Golden Corral Mother’s Day brawl and I just smile. These are proud, happy moments for the Rust Belt city down the road. Parents will pass these stories on for generations. Mom, tell me the story of the time you fought with the other moms at my kindergarten graduation.

Having this content right here in my backyard almost brings tears to my eyes. Disclaimer: Thank God we live 20 minutes south of these morons.

On the death of Kyle Busch

Despite what you may have read or heard about Kyle Busch, my interactions with the man over the last 15 years have been nothing short of wonderful. Kyle and Samantha Busch were the best people to interview. My friend Paul and I have interviewed both of them many times over the years and they couldn’t have been handled better.

Kyle was one of us. I would see Kyle and Samantha at Leather and Lace Super Bowl parties for years. Before kids, these two were leaders of the party scene. Just fun people. If a brand asks Paul and I to interview Kyle, it’s a done deal.

This is Paul (far right) and I with Kyle before the start of the 2019 race in Kentucky. Our friend was running marketing for M&M’s NASCAR program at the time and asked us to come for the weekend and have a casual experience where we slept in tents on the field and asked us to hang out with Kyle.

We lost one of the good guys on Thursday.

KYLE BUSCH ‘WE HANG OUT WITH SEAN HANNITY’

Did we take the America 250 thing a little too far with Bush’s baked beans creation?

Do we really need rocket baked beans? How does this make sense? I need someone to come this weekend, try those beans and report back. Email: joe.kinsey@outkick.com

I want to take us into Memorial Day weekend with a mowing report that will inspire us all

My blood starts pumping when I open my Gmail and Vern is recording in the Pacific Northwest. I have written many times that Vern is the best for us. His resume is 200 pages long. Decorated. Very decorated. Inspiring. Vern is the leader of the men. He’s been this way his whole life, and even with very simple emails I feel like he’s still doing it as he approaches 88 years old.

FREEDOM IS NOT FREE: ON THIS DAY OF MEMORIALITY, HONOR THOSE WHO NEVER CAME HOME

When Vern talks (writes emails) I listen carefully.

While Memorial Day weekend is a time to reflect on those who died for this country, I feel like it’s also about continuing to live. Putting one foot in front of the other and continuing to move forward. Summer is waking up this weekend. We owe it to those who make sacrifices to ensure that energy circulates in our bodies.

We owe it to Vern and the other Great Americans to get off our asses and get busy with life. Have an incredible holiday weekend. I’m heading to the golf course to get lost for a few hours.
