Tata Steel trials Canadian iron ore to hedge against future shortages
Tata Steel currently supplies 100% of the iron ore requirement in India through its six subsidiary mines located at Jharkhand’s Noamundi and Odisha’s Katamati, Joda East, Khondbond, Vijaya II and Koidahas. The company also plans to expand mining at Gandhalpada and Kalamang in Odisha, according to the company’s FY25 annual report.
