Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce donate $26M to charities ahead of wedding
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce donated $26 million to charities this week Friday before weddings at Madison Square Garden.
Donations were distributed to 20 local and national charities, according to Swift’s publicist, with many located in areas where the couple has deep ties. The announcement did not include any mention of Swift and Kelce’s wedding, but a law enforcement official briefed on security plans told the AP the wedding would be held Friday, with a smaller rehearsal dinner Thursday night.
Nine of the organizations selected are New York-based, ranging from Food Bank For NYC and City Harvest to Musical Mentors, a nonprofit organization that connects music teachers with students in need.
It was not disclosed how much each charity received.
Other charities reflecting the places Swift and Kelce also call home include the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, where Swift owns land in Watch Hill, and the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, where Kelce plays tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.
A handful of national groups also received money: Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a book giveaway program spearheaded by the music legend; American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Feeding America.
The large donations made ahead of Swift and Kelce’s wedding are reminiscent of the philanthropic gifts the couple has given in the past. Swift, a billionaire, gave millions to food banks before her Eras Tour stops, while Kelce was recognized by the Chiefs for winning “charity challenges” and running her own nonprofit.
Swift and Kelce have had a relationship that has captivated millions around the world since 2023. Their relationship has been documented in countless shots of Swift celebrating at Chiefs games and fan videos of Kelce dancing as Swift travels the world on her Eras concert tour. They announced their engagement with this title in 2025, but remained silent about the wedding details.
But excitement remains high at MSG in New York; numerous trucks and crews are in and out to distribute supplies for what is expected to be an elaborate event.
