Techie worried about PF after quick start
The professional announced that they completed their recruitment at a WITCH company and notified the organization of their resignation within two days.
“I completed joining a witch and informed them that I will leave after 2 days. Monday is like joining the job and they informed me on Wednesday. They told me to send a resignation email on Thursday and I sent it accordingly. Will they credit the PF amount for those 2 days (Monday and Tuesday) or will they ignore those days? I told them that I should resign as I got a better offer.”
The post quickly gained attention, with many users focusing less on the PF concern and more on the salary figures involved.
Reddit users react to ₹42 LPA salary and ₹50+ LPA offer
One user questioned why the technician was worried about PF due to only two days of work.
“How much is your salary, are you worried about 2 days PF? Be happy and consider yourself lucky they left you or you will have to serve that dreaded 90 day notice period.”
The technician responded: “By the way, 42 lpa is a consultant role.”
When asked about his experience, the pro said, “6+ at one company, Bank of America.”
Another Reddit user asked about the new opportunity. The technician replied, “50+ LPA.”
Users discuss creating PF account after short term work
Some Reddit users shared their opinions on whether PF records should be created even for a short runtime.
A user said, “Even if you have not opened a bank account with the company, they will still create a Member ID for that organization (based on PAN number). I am informing you about this because my sister joined an organization and left (resigned) from the company within 1 day of joining the company. They created a member ID for my sister even for 1 day of service in the company.”
The technician asked if the same thing happened at a WITCH company. “Yes, it is one of the WITCH companies and it happened in 2023,” the user replied.
Another user added, “If you provided your bank information, they may have created it. There are possibilities.”
The technician explained that bank information was not provided.
