Tech giant’s $1.45 billion headquarters revolutionizes workplace design in Sydney
These open gardens will be planted with 13,000 domestic natives and the key to reducing the carbon footprint of the tower.
The northern façade of the building, which benefits from Sydney’s temperate climate, will be equipped with 6000 glass shutters, which are automatically and connected to the air stations in the building and CBD.
Dexus Project Director Peter Morley said that the surgery facades allow large areas to be cooled by natural breezes and allowed the atrium to heat up with sunlight without mechanical cooling and air transport while closing it into rain events or storms.
Together, with the new use of collective timber, it is estimated that the persecution facade will reduce the costs of energy consumption saved from regulating the temperature to the day. The ventilated air will be withdrawn from the atriums and wandering through adjacent offices by traditional fans.
James Barta from Bustred was caused by Austria for European spruce density and fire retardant values.
Gina Creegan, President of Atlassian’s workplace with the “team everywhere” approach to flexible employment, said that it was designed for workers who will choose to enter the center of the building and focused on the environment where people work beyond the traditional “Yoga in the Office” ideas.
“We have a very high participation in Sydney because of our community, they come to connect,” he said.
When the weather is bright, workers will be able to sit in natural light between a living garden of domestic plants fed by natural sunlight and air.

“I think the world is changing and the workplace needs to respond,” he said. “This building is a plan for the times we come together.”
The construction of the 39 -storey Atlassian Central is now halfway. The historical parcel hut will be dismantled to make a way for construction and will be renewed in its current position before the opening of 2028 and will be restored. The first seven floors are dedicated to a YHA pension and the hotel.
One “habitat” is suitable for continuing. Atlassian will be under three “habitats ,, according to other innovative technology initiatives and will be the iron tenant rather than the only corporate tenant, as he envisages.
The remaining five people will be occupied by Atlassian employees and a penthouse activity area for 350 people includes food and beverage sales points on two floors. This will be more than twice the company’s current George Street office footprint.
Last month, Atlassian leaned about $ 1 billion to the scanner company Silicon Valley AI Start Up, while 150 customer service business and 200 European -based positions cut. He argues that this year has increased its number by 10 percent.
Dexus will deliver the high floors completed in late 2026 to Atlassian and the technology giant is expected to be completely transported by 2028.
The only thing that is missing in Atlassian Central, sitting in a light rail, heavy rail and metro vineyard, is a parking lot.
Morley, “a very early point, even for the founders of Atlassian, we will not provide parking,” he said.
