Ted Cruz endorses primary challenger running against Rep. Dan Crenshaw

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has endorsed Texas state Rep. Steve Toth, who is challenging incumbent U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw in the Lone Star State 2nd Congressional District Republican primary.

“I am proud to endorse @SteveTothTX for Congress in Texas’ 2nd Congressional District. Steve has faithfully served the people of Texas in the Texas House of Representatives, supporting our Texas values ​​of freedom, limited government, and constitutional rule,” Cruz said in a post on X.

“Steve is an unwavering warrior on school choice, fiscal responsibility and the next generation of Americans. Washington needs bold leadership and representatives who will defend Texans at every turn,” Cruz said. continued.

Although President Donald Trump has not made any endorsements in the race, he has previously endorsed Toth for the Texas House in 2022 and 2024.
