Assam: Fresh violence in Karbi Anglong; shops burnt, 48 policemen injured; DGP appeals for calm – The Economic Times Video
Fresh violence broke out in Assam’s Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts, forcing authorities to temporarily suspend internet services and deploy additional security forces. According to Assam DGP Harmeet Singh, the protesters resorted to violence following misinformation about rape. Shops are set on fire, bombs and stones are thrown, and 48 police officers are injured.
