Unseen Forces, Drone Jammers And Secret Labs: How Delhi Is Locking Down For Putin | World News

New Delhi: The capital is being turned into a heavily guarded area after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit on December 4-5. His last trip to India was in December 2021. Security officials confirmed that nearly 50 Russian officers arrived days in advance and began screening every place marked for his visit.
Sources involved in the arrangements explained that the trip was conducted under what they called a “secret cover”. Once Putin’s private plane touches down, the outer ring of security cover will be taken over by NSG commandos. Special Protection Group (SPG), Investigation and Analysis Wing (RAW), Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Delhi Police personnel will each maintain separate layers of their protection.
In addition to these layers of security, jammers, artificial intelligence tracking systems, route clearing units and anti-sniper teams will also be deployed.

The hotel where the Russian President will stay has already undergone full security checks. There is a 24-hour protection system. Special arrangements were made for the accommodation of the delegation accompanying him.
According to officials connected with the preparations, the 50-person advance team is moving between all points on Putin’s tentative route, as well as places that may be added at the last moment. Only select members of India’s top security agencies are in direct contact with Putin’s core bodyguard team.
Shield for 100 Officers
Authorities announced that Putin was traveling with nearly 100 police teams when he left Russia. His visit to India will be no different. The armored Aurus Senat limousine will also fly. The vehicle is built to withstand high-intensity attacks and is considered one of the safest government cars in the world.
Putin’s security footprint always includes teams that adapt to the local environment long before he arrives. These secret units disperse across hotels, routes and venues and report to Moscow’s central command.
A portable laboratory will also be part of the travel convoy. This laboratory tests every meal served to the Russian president. He only eats after getting an “OK” from the lab technicians.
Portable Toilet
When traveling abroad, Putin brings a portable toilet along with his meal arrangements. Members familiar with Russian safety protocols say this prevents even the smallest trace of biological waste from being left behind. The practice is linked to national security procedures because such materials could potentially provide insight into a leader’s health.
As the countdown begins, Delhi’s security mechanism is working at full capacity. The capital is gearing up for one of the most tightly controlled visits of the year, with Russian officers currently stationed across the city and India’s agencies working in close coordination.
