Tejashwi Yadav’s elder brother Tej Pratap said that he was hurt by what happened to his sister. On Saturday, a day after the Bihar election results were declared, Acharya announced his decision to quit politics and sever ties with his family. Just months ago, Lalu Yadav had expelled Tej Pratap from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and his family due to a personal dispute.
Tej Pratap wrote in his post on social media: “I tolerated what happened to me. But the insult to my sister is unbearable under any circumstances.” He also said that the people of Bihar will not forgive those who attacked his family. In one of his online posts over the weekend, he said his family accused him of buying election tickets in exchange for a “dirty kidney.” This marks the latest chapter in the feud between the Yadav family, months after Lalu expelled Tej Pratap from the party and the family; Pratap said on social media that he was “in a relationship”.
