Telangana CM Revanth Reddy proposes law to deduct salary of govt employees neglecting parents

Speaking at an event held in Hyderabad on Monday, Reddy recalled that while distributing appointment letters to Group-1 and Group-2 selected candidates, it was stated that around 90 per cent of the selected candidates came from poor backgrounds.
He said that if anyone neglects their parents after marriage, part of their salary will be cut and paid directly to their parents.
CM said, “Recently, while distributing appointment letters to the candidates selected from Group 1 and Group 2, I made a statement. I said that 90 percent of the selected candidates come from the poor, and those who cannot take care of their parents after marriage will have their salaries deducted by 10-15 percent and given directly to their parents. A law will be passed for this.”
The Prime Minister also spoke about the Telangana government’s ‘Pranam Programme’, under which neglected parents will be brought to nurseries where all basic amenities will be provided and the government will act like a family for them.
“Today, under the Pranam Programme, the government brings such neglected parents to nurseries where all the facilities will be provided to them and the government will stand like a family for them. Parents who sacrifice everything for the society and their children deserve attention and honor and we are launching this Pranam program to support them,” Reddy said. he added.
Emphasizing that parents make sacrifices, Reddy said that they work tirelessly to educate and support their children, often sacrificing their own needs. However, he noted that in some cases, parents are neglected in old age. “Parents work hard, sweat their blood and take care of their children even if they do not eat themselves. They save every penny and provide education and wealth to their children. But in some cases, these parents are neglected by their own children when they grow old,” Reddy said. he said.
According to the official website of the Telangana government, under the Pranaam initiative, the government has allocated 50 billion rupees to provide necessary equipment and build confidence among disabled people. Opportunities are being created in all areas to ensure that no one is left behind in a competitive world. In addition to reservations in education and employment, financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh will be provided to couples where both partners are disabled.
