Telangana Government Hikes MeeSeva Service Charges by 50%

Hyderabad: In a move that will impact citizens seeking required government documents, the Telangana state government has announced a significant increase in user fees at MeeSeva centers across the state. Fees for all services were increased by approximately 50 percent.
The state government has issued an official Government Order (GO) implementing the revised tariff structure.
Important Changes in Service Fees:
Basic Certificates: The fee for issuing income, caste and birth certificates has been increased to Rs. 80.
Birth Certificates: Citizens will now have to pay Rs. 62 to obtain a birth certificate.
This price revision affects almost all administrative services provided through MeeSeva civic services portals and reflects a notable increase in out-of-pocket expenses by the general public seeking essential documents.
