Telangana tops organ donation in the country
Haydarabad: The center gave the TaLangana government to secure maximum organ donations in the country. In an event that observed the National Organ Donation Day in Delhi, the Union Health Minister JP Nadda presented the award to the representatives of the state Jeevanda program on Saturday.
According to the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Health donated 0.8 organs per 10 lakh population in 2024, while Tahangana reported a significant rate of 4.88 a higher rate per 10 lach. Accepting this success, the National Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organization (Notto) presented an award to Tahangana.
Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha expressed happiness called the national leader in TaLangana’s organ donation. Tahangana has recently accepted the Thota law to provide fair access to organs, regardless of a person’s financial situation.
Rajanarasimha also added that organ transplant operations were offered free of charge within the scope of Aarogyasri plan. He said that only in 2024, the organs were harvested by 188 donors and that 725 recipients helped to save their lives.
