Teleprompter operator allegedly made Kalshi bets on Trump statements; CFTC investigating

A teleprompter operator is under investigation by federal regulators in connection with bets they allegedly made on a prediction market platform Kalshi It’s about statements made by President Donald Trump.
“Our surveillance team immediately flagged these transactions and referred them to authorities.” [Commodity Futures Trading Commission] “After an exchange investigation,” Robert DeNault, Kalshi’s enforcement chief, told CNBC.
“We are assisting regulators in this matter and providing the evidence we have collected, as we do with every referral,” DeNault said.
CNBC requested comment from the White House.
