vijayawada:Telugu Desam Party leadership has decided to hold the prestigious annual Mahanaadu convention in Mangalagiri of Vijayawada instead of Nellore in order to reduce cost while ensuring wide participation of party cadre in Andhra Pradesh.00
TD president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu approved the decision to shift the two-day event from Nellore to Vijayawada.
The conclave of cardinals will now be held in Vijayawada on May 27 and May 28, and party members will participate in the two-day Mahanadu both physically and virtually.
According to senior party leaders, the hybrid model has been designed to preserve the traditional significance of Mahanaadu while reducing organizational expenses. There will be seamless digital engagement across the state.
According to the regulations finalized by the TD high command, politburo, central committee, state committee members and official spokespeople will physically attend the meeting at the party headquarters. MLAs, MLCs, ministers, MPs and party cadres will participate in Mahanadu held in their respective constituencies as well as online platforms.
The party is making elaborate arrangements to connect all its 1,848 cluster units across the state with digital screens and live broadcast facilities, enabling leaders and workers to participate from their respective locations.
Despite the change in venue and format, the TD leadership decided to continue all established Mahanadu traditions, including discussions on political strategies, organizational issues, policy decisions and presentation and adoption of resolutions.
Party leaders said the hybrid model will help the leadership connect directly with grassroots cadres while ensuring wider participation and better coordination of large-scale organizational effectiveness.
