Aam Aadmi Party’s “Rozgar Do, Samajik Nyay Do“The foot march reached Hathras on Sunday, April 5, 2026, where it accused the Central government of diverting attention from core issues like employment, education and social justice.

The fourth leg of the State-wide protest march, led by Rajya Sabha MP and AAP’s Uttar Pradesh in-charge Sanjay Singh, started in Agra on April 3 and is scheduled to end in Mathura on April 9.

Speaking to reporters, Mr Singh criticized the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that instead of addressing pressing concerns, efforts were being made to spread hatred in the name of caste and religion.

He said the main purpose of the march was to highlight unemployment and counter divisive policies.

“A long queue of unemployed youth has emerged in Uttar Pradesh,” Mr. Singh said.

AAP leader, Allahabad University, Lucknow University, Aligarh Muslim University and Dr. He claimed that students graduating from institutions like Bhimrao Ambedkar University have difficulty finding jobs and face police intervention when they demand jobs.

He added that ASHA workers, anganwadi workers and ‘shiksha mitras’ in Uttar Pradesh are campaigning for the regulation, while farmers are grappling with financial difficulties.

Street vendors also face eviction investigations, he claimed.

Calling unemployment the “biggest problem” in the state, Mr. Singh said the party has raised the slogan “Provide employment or give unemployment allowance of Rs 10,000 per month”. Raising the issue of social justice, he said that discrimination based on caste and religion should end.

Taking a sharp swipe at the Prime Minister, Mr. Singh said that in his last visit to Kerala, PM Modi did not discuss issues like education, healthcare, Digital India, Make in India, black money, strength of rupee or scarcity of cooking gas; which showed that the distribution of governance at the Center was based solely on caste and religious polarization for votes.
