Iran Fully Reopens Airspace After Ceasefire With Israel | World News

In a statement published on the website, CAO said on Saturday that both domestic and international flight operations have returned to pre -war levels. In addition, the Xinhua News Agency reported that Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport continues during the daytime operations.

“After that, all airlines and travel agencies can once again offer 24 -hour flight services and ticket sales.”

Iran initially closed the airspace on June 13, following Israeli air strikes in Tehran and other regions. The 12 -day conflict ended with a ceasefire on June 24.

The gradual re -opening of the Iranian airspace began on June 26, and the airports gradually continued normal operations. On July 17, CAO announced that all airports, except Mehrabad, left in a limited program between local time (0030-1530 GMT) at 4: 00-17: 00.

On June 13, Israel launched major air strikes in various regions, including Iran’s nuclear and military fields, killed senior commanders, nuclear scientists and a large number of civilians. The Xinhua News Agency reported that Iran responded to Israel with a wave of multiple missiles and drone attacks.

On June 22, the US forces bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities. In retaliation, Iran hit the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

After a 12 -day fight, the ceasefire was reached between Iran and Israel on Tuesday.
