Tesco issues urgent product recall for festive treat

Tesco has recalled a festive sweet treat due to a potential health risk for people with allergies.
The supermarket decided to recall the ‘Tesco Free 4 Christmas Chocolate Flavored Cupcake’ on Wednesday due to the possibility of undeclared milk being found in the product.
Valid for all product packages with an expiration date code until (including) January 17, 2026.
Tesco said the product could pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or dairy ingredients.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said: “If you have purchased an affected product and are allergic or intolerant to milk or dairy ingredients, please do not eat it. Instead, return it to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given. No invoice required.”
The supermarket apologized to customers for any inconvenience and confirmed that no other products were affected by the recall.
The FSA added: “Tesco is recalling the above product from its customers and has been advised to contact relevant allergy support organizations who will inform their members of the recall.”
