IndiGo Tirupati-Hyderabad Flight Delayed For 8 Hours

Tirupati: The late morning flight from Tirupati turned into an all-day wait for passengers traveling to Hyderabad on Saturday after a technical glitch forced IndiGo to withdraw the original flight and bring in a new one.

According to official sources, a technical problem emerged during the final checks of flight 6E473 by the pilots at 11.05 before takeoff. While the pilots stated that the plane was not suitable for take-off and asked the passengers to return to the terminal, engineers examined the plane.

Technical teams worked on the plane for more than 3.5 hours. They gave permission for the afternoon service and the passengers boarded the plane again. However, while the pilots were making final checks, they found that the same malfunction occurred again.

As the fault persisted and there was no quick fix in sight, IndiGo decided to deploy a different aircraft for the sector. Passengers were transferred to an alternative plane and the plane departed after 19:00.

While many passengers waiting to arrive in Hyderabad in the afternoon expressed their unhappiness, some were relieved that the problem had surfaced and the airline had chosen not to operate the aircraft, which faced repeated technical problems.
