Trump rushed into Iran crisis meeting as insider warns ‘strike within hours’

Donald Trump rushed to an Iran crisis meeting as a senior US ally warned the President would attack ‘within hours’.

Trump summoned his top advisers for a briefing at the White House on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing nuclear crisis with Iran, according to a report from Axios.

Advisers presented him with options regarding nuclear talks with Iranian diplomats in Geneva earlier this week. Sources say this is the closest the administration has ever come to starting a major war against Iran.

In recent weeks, Trump has ordered the largest concentration of infantry, naval and air firepower on the Iranian border since the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

A possible military operation against Iran could last weeks and escalate into a broader regional war aimed at overthrowing the Ayatollah regime. Sources claim that Israel will support the United States in joint military efforts.

Trump has demanded Iran make major concessions regarding the country’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

Following the meeting, Polish Prime Minister and NATO ally Donald Tusk said on Thursday that all citizens should evacuate Iran as this may no longer be possible within a few hours.

“Please leave Iran immediately… and do not go to this country under any circumstances,” Tusk said.

Trump is reportedly considering eliminating Iran’s entire military and political leadership with sustained airstrikes to prevent US casualties. The move is intended to create chaos across the country to encourage regime change.

The president is also considering limiting strikes to Iran’s nuclear facilities, which he previously claimed were destroyed during the 12-day war between Israel and Iran last year.

A war with Iran could come as Republicans brace for a tough midterm election cycle, fighting to preserve their congressional majority and prevent Trump from becoming a lame-duck president.

The potential attack on Iran comes after diplomatic talks with Iranian officials reached an impasse earlier this week.

The Daily Mail has contacted the White House for comment.

The USA has started sending ultra-modern F-35 and F-22 warplanes to the region in the last few days.

Other ships include F-22 Raptor stealth fighter jets, F-15 and F-16 fighter jets, and KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft needed to maintain operations.

Flightradar24 on Wednesday showed multiple KC-135s flying near or in the Middle East, as well as E3 Sentry airborne warning and control aircraft and cargo planes operating in the region.

The United States is also stocking up by sea, as Washington now has 13 warships in the Middle East: an aircraft carrier – the USS Abraham Lincoln – nine destroyers and three littoral combat ships, with more on the way, according to a US official.

The world’s largest aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R Ford, is currently in the Atlantic Ocean en route from the Caribbean to the Middle East after being ordered by Trump earlier this month. She is accompanied by three destroyers.
