The Colts channeled “The Simpsons” for their schedule release, and it’s a masterpiece
The release of the NFL schedule has become an arms race among teams’ social media departments to see who can get the most attention.
I don’t care about this.
All I care about is the Indianapolis Colts canceling the best schedule of all time. And I don’t just say this as a die-hard fan of The Simpsons.

So I I, But that’s not the only reason I say this.
The Colts’ colorful, Simpsonized schedule broadcast video for the 2026 season was a two-parter of sorts.
The first episode was a reworking of the long-running primetime sitcom’s iconic opening sequence, filled with hilarious NFL Easter eggs, starting with the classic Bart Simpson chalkboard joke that read, “WE WILL NOT INCLUDE TYREEK HILL IN THESE VIDEOS.”

Then, the second episode was the actual reveal of the show, and this is where it went from cool to awesome. Each game is introduced with a clip from the show that fits it perfectly, starting with the Colts’ Week 1 date with the Baltimore Ravens.
A clip from “The Simpsons” adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s novel “The Raven” was used in this From Season 2’s “Treehouse of Horror”. Pour yourself a Duff and maybe nibble on a pink donut, because this is a masterpiece you’ll probably watch several times.
I’m just speaking from experience.

Honestly, with over 800 divisions, any NFL team could pull this off. The Simpsons If you schedule the broadcast video there won’t be much conflict.

I love these show releases because they really do get better and better.
I think we’re only a year or two away from James Cameron directing one of these and then us having to direct five more sequels that no one wants.
