As craters open in the mainstream media, a tsunami of misinformation and disinformation floods social media, and governments undermine freedom of expression, we examine the future of media.
Join us for the ‘BHP Ball and Inaugural MinterEllison Press Freedom Address’. Now that BHP and MinterEllison have dropped their vexatious lawsuit against us, we are transforming the ‘BHP Ball’ from a fundraiser to fight the lawsuit into a Ten Year Anniversary celebration.
Yours truly will talk about the ‘Future of Media’ and Dr., formerly a surgeon in Gaza. Muhammed Mustafa will also talk about ‘Palestine and Media’.

The meeting will be attended by friends of MWM, key players in independent media, whistleblowers, a world-class climate and energy team, lawyers and politicians, and advocates for free speech, government and corporate integrity.
There are more things that unite us than divide us. So Australian Jews, Palestinians and Lebanese will be there in numbers supporting peace, freedom of expression and fearless evidence-based journalism.
Wendy Harmer is the MC. Wendy Bacon, Rex Patrick, Michael Pascoe, Kim Wingerei, Stephanie Tran, Josh Barnett, Andrew Brown and their team will of course be there, as will whistleblowers and principle defenders who have been persecuted for their integrity.
