The gas tax ripoff. Japan collects more on our gas than we do

Australian Institute (TAI) reports: “On average, $1.8 billion of Japan’s energy import tax comes from gas imports each year, far more than the $1.4 billion collected by the Australian Government’s Petroleum Resources Rental Tax (PRRT).”
TAI’s Richard Dennis told the Senate Gas Inquiry Committee today: “Australians have been mistaken for the mafia by the gas export industry. And while successive Australian governments have been to blame for the mess,
The Albanian Government is responsible for fixing this.
