The Greens have let One Nation steal their moment

The grim question for the Greens is clear: How did you let Pauline Hanson steal your job? For decades the Greens have been standing in a corner, snapping their fingers and saying “Hello? We’re not Labor or Liberal either, and we even have reusable coffee cups!” Then there’s a special kind of humiliation to watch One Nation become the face of anti-establishment politics in Australia.
This does not mean Hanson will become prime minister. I’m still not convinced that One Nation’s rise is as durable or electorally disruptive as the polls suggest.
