The Hindu, Galgotias University establish Centre for Excellence in Journalism

As part of the partnership, outstanding students of Galgotias University will have access to internship opportunities. Hindu’editorial teams, collaborative publishing opportunities for visual communications projects, curated workshops, field visits and structured interventions by media professionals. The program will provide students with access Hindu newspaper, digital platforms, archives, webinars and special publications to deepen their engagement with current events, public discourse and journalistic practices.

The partnership will also include three months of physical and virtual interventions, a journalism course, and extensive field visits that will allow students to closely observe newsroom processes, editorial workflows, and media operations.

The MoU was signed by Nitin Kumar Gaur, Registrar, Galgotias University, and Sridhar Aranala, Director, Sales and Distribution, The Hindu.group on Wednesday. At the event, Galgotias University Vice-Chancellor K. Mallikharjuna Babu; Neha Jindal, Dean, School of Media and Communication Studies, Galgotias University; Tasha Singh Parihar, Associate Dean, School of Media and Communication Studies; Ujjwal Pratap, Director, Strategic Communication and Public Relations, University of Galgotias; Anurag Pandey, Assistant Professor, School of Media and Communication Studies; and Sunil Mirza, Managing Director, Sales and Distribution, Hindu Group.
