The missing connection scheme of £ 500 million is raising three miles of the very needed dual highway between Brockworth and Cowley. A continuous pair of transport will be created that connects the M5 highway in Gloucester to the M4 highway via A419.

The road provides a significant way between Gloucester and Swindon and helps to connect Midlands/North to the south of England.
The national highways is currently raising this single transport way to double transport to create a complete pair of transport between the M4 and M5. The project, which started at the beginning of 2023, is expected to be completed by 2027.
