US Arrests Indian Origin Student On Arson And Terror Charges | World News

WE: According to official records, a 22-year-old student of Indian origin was detained in the United States on charges of arson and making terroristic threats against family members.
According to reports, the defendant, Manojh Sai Lella, a senior at the University of Texas at Dallas, was arrested by Frisco Police on Monday.
Police said they were called to Lella’s home after Lella’s family reported that she was experiencing mental health issues and claimed that Lella had made threatening statements. Authorities also said he was accused of attempting to set the house on fire a few days before the complaint.

According to NDTV reports, Lella was arrested on charges of arson with intent to damage a habitation or place of worship, classified as a first-degree crime, and making terroristic threats against a family or household member, a Class A misdemeanor. Police said there was no evidence that any threat was directed at the place of worship.
Bail was set at $100,000 for the arson charge and $3,500 for the terroristic threat charge, according to court documents.
