Chaos at Messi’s event was anticipated last night: Bose on how Calcutta authorities made footballer’s visit ‘messy’

“For the record, this was envisaged based on certain information I received from the common man last night and forwarded to the government and the necessary precautionary measures for crowd management,” Bose told news agency PTI.
International football icon Lionel Messi left the stadium within 30 minutes after a large crowd filled the stands. Not being able to see the popular star even once, fans left the stadium, damaging posters and throwing bottles around. Authorities detained the main organizer of the event.
“Today’s incident proves that none of these steps were taken by the police,” Bose said. “We love Messi, we respect Messi. But the authorities in Calcutta had made Messi a real Messi.”
