Tragic update after the older brother of Adelaide Crows captain Jordan Dawson goes missing

The older brother of Adelaide captain Jordan Dawson has died after going missing in South Australia’s south-east on Tuesday.
SA police confirmed to this imprint that a man’s body had been found on Wednesday afternoon.
“Police are preparing a report for the coroner following the sudden death of a man in the southeast of the state. There are no suspicious circumstances,” police said in a statement.
Jaryd Dawson’s wife Jessica had previously made an urgent request for information on his whereabouts on social media.
“If anyone has seen or heard from Jaryd since 2.30pm yesterday, please let us know,” he wrote, tagging Jaryd’s mother and sister, Marian Dawson and Chloe Cane.
Jordan’s wife Milly also shared the post.
Crows coach Matthew Nicks said in a press conference that his captain Jordan was not at training.
“Unfortunately, Dawson will not be able to practice due to personal reasons,” Nicks said at her regular press conference.
Jaryd was an alternate vice-captain of the Robe Roosters and co-founder of boutique home building company Domus Design and Build.
Jaryd and Jessica married in late 2024 before welcoming their first child together in September.
